I am an English Language and Subject Trainer with over 11 years of experience in teaching English, communication, and language skills to learners across different age groups and proficiency levels. I hold an MA in English Literature and a Master’s in TEFL. I am also a British Council-certified IELTS Trainer, with additional certifications in TESOL, Jolly Phonics, Soft Skills, and Public Speaking. My areas of expertise include English Language and Literature, Spoken English, Grammar, Business English, IELTS, Public Speaking, Phonics, Personality Development, Soft Skills, and Interview Skills. I believe in creating learner-centred, interactive, and practical learning experiences that build both language proficiency and confidence. My teaching approach focuses on meaningful communication, real-life situations, vocabulary development, pronunciation, grammar, and critical thinking, while encouraging learners to actively participate and express themselves. I have experience working with learners from kindergarten to Grade 10, as well as teenagers, adults, and international learners. My goal is to help every learner become a confident, articulate, and effective communicator in English.
Teaching Philosophy
“I believe that every learner has a unique pace, learning style, and level of understanding. My teaching approach is therefore flexible and learner-centred, allowing me to adapt lessons according to each student’s individual needs. For learners who need more time, I break concepts into smaller, manageable steps, provide additional examples, repetition, guided practice, and regular reinforcement. For learners who grasp concepts quickly, I introduce extension activities, higher-level vocabulary, challenging tasks, and opportunities to apply their knowledge creatively. I continuously observe learners’ responses, participation, and progress and adjust my teaching strategies accordingly. I also use questioning, interactive activities, role plays, discussions, and personalised feedback to ensure that every learner remains engaged and challenged at an appropriate level. My aim is not to make every learner progress at the same speed, but to help each learner make meaningful progress from their own starting point while building confidence, independence, and a genuine interest in learning”
